You will have a chance to get comfortable at Bled and begin exploring its many attractions. A magical ride to the Bled Island with a Pletna boat is a great way to start your family holiday, and you can spice it up with a visit to the Bled Castle, perched above the enchanting Lake Bled.

You will determine how you want your first full day in the Alps to unfold. A hike up the Ojstrica Hill will offer an incredible view of Lake Bled while hiking through the Vintgar Gorge is a whole other experience. If you are up for something more adrenaline-inducing, you can go kayaking on the Sava River or ziplining.

And if you opt for a relaxing day at the spa, you can chill beside the pools while your kids slide down the waterslides.

Your family holidays in Slovenia are well underway! And again, the choice of how to continue is yours. If you wish to explore Lake Bled even more intimately, a rowboat or a SUP rental is a great way to do it.

Otherwise, the nearby summer sledding track and adventure park are two spots your children will be thrilled to visit. Even a visit to the Dino Park at Bled might intrigue your youngest.

But if you wish to explore the surroundings together, there is no better option than renting some bikes and taking them for a tour amidst the Julian Alps.

Your day will begin with a scenic drive through the Sava Bohinjka Valley and past the traditional Alpine villages. Lake Bohinj is tucked away in a colorful corner of the Julian Alps, and the whole area will stun you with its charm.

The region offers all sorts of activities, and you can either opt for a hike up the gorgeous Voje Valley and Mostnica Gorge or take a cable car up to Mount Vogel and delight in the magnificent views of the lake and the valley sprawled underneath.

As we already mentioned, Bohinj is a place of opportunities, and there is no way one day could be enough to experience it to the fullest. The whole day is set aside for an activity or multiple activities you decide on.

You can go hiking in the Julian Alps to discover the scenic mountain pastures or cycling to take advantage of the well-maintained bike path through the valley. Lake activities include canoeing, kayaking, or paddle boarding.

And for the most adventurous families, we offer you a chance to go paragliding or canyoning.

Your penultimate day will be packed with action, starting with a drive through the Radovna Valley toward Kranjska Gora. You will make a stop along the way as you drive to the end of Vrata Valley to see the majestic Mt. Triglav and its northern face. But the main attraction will surely be the breathtaking Peričnik Waterfall.

Subsequently, you will visit the Planica Nordic Center to see the second-largest ski jump in the world. You will also find yourself enchanted by the beautiful Tamar Valley.

You can also opt for a zipline that takes you from the top of the ski jump to the valley floor.

It would be a shame not to take the utmost advantage of a day in the sports hub of Kranjska Gora. The surrounding hills and mountains offer lots of hiking options appropriate for children. If you prefer renting a bike, you can ride to the spring of the Sava Dolinka River, Zelenci Nature Reserve.

For the more adventurous families, there is a downhill bike trail close at hand and a summer sledding track next to it.

And if you feel like it, you can relax in Kranjska Gora. You might be inclined to take a walk to Lake Jasna to dip your legs in the cold water and enjoy the scenery.
