The second day is when the real fun starts. The whole family will help on the farm in a relaxed and merry atmosphere. You will participate in various farming chores such as collecting eggs, peeling corn, preparing bread, and working the fields.
The kids will learn a lot about how Slovenian farmers survived over the years and still do today. Of course, it is up to you how long you wish to help on the farm. If you want to visit Ljubljana, you can head to the city and spend the afternoon exploring its car-free city center, climb up to Ljubljana Castle, or have a boat ride on the Ljubljanica River. You will leave the outskirts of Ljubljana and head toward Rogla Plateau, where a unique experience awaits. Tree Top Walk in the Pohorje Hills, an elevated metal dais running among the trees, will introduce you to the rich environment of northeastern Slovenia, covered with thick woods.
You can opt for a stop in Maribor, Slovenia’s second-largest city. Otherwise, you will drive to the Firbas farm, where you will also spend the night. They will give you a guided tour of the estate and show your kids the magic of living with nature.
We hope your kids are animal lovers because there will be lots of them — cows, horses, dogs, sheep, rabbits, and more!
After being well fed, you will have a chance to bathe in a big wooden bucket under the stars and sleep in a renovated cozy hay barn that offers all the comfort while not taking away from authenticity.

Farm experience
Have your kids ever fed farm animals? Everything happens for the first time eventually! They will be awake way before you, and you will serve them breakfast before you even get your own.
The rest of the day is entirely up to you. You can take the farm’s e-bikes and explore the surrounding area, drive a tractor, or freshen yourself in a pool.
If your kids are old enough, they might even want to try archery. To sum up, the day promises to be filled with fun, and in the end, you will be sad to leave the amiable owners.

Today, you will visit one of Slovenia’s most famous tourist attractions, the Logar Valley. It is typically U-shaped like all glacial valleys. A pleasant footpath leads through its entirety, ending below the tall Rinka Waterfall and steep northern faces of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps.
Before reaching the mouth of the valley, you can stop in Celje to visit Celje Castle, where a knight and a lady will give you a guided tour. If your kids are good-mannered, they might even let them hold a sword!

Today is when the real fun in the valley begins, though. You might take your children hiking, cycling, horseback riding, rafting, paragliding, or kayaking. Basically, anything that crosses your mind. And if these things are not up your alley, you can take a relaxing yoga class while waiting for them to finish.
You will also dine on savory local food made from home ingredients. And the valley is a great place to spend some time together as a family, having a picnic amid the green pastures and children (especially the youngest ones) enjoying absolute freedom.

Description
Coexistence with nature and hard work are two pillars of the Slovenian community. We want to introduce your children to them through the fun and educational experience that are our Farm Stay Holidays while also taking you around our country and showing you its hidden treasures.
You will visit three tourist farms where the cordial owners will acquaint you with life on the farm. Depending on the season, you will be able to take part in working in the fields, peeling corn, collecting eggs, making bread, beekeeping, and more!
Remaining in touch with nature on your holidays is a unique experience. One that will not take away from your comfort or your adventures. Actually, it will make your family holidays in Slovenia even more memorable.
Besides discovering the secrets of farm life, your kids will also learn about Slovenia’s wildlife while walking the scenic Tree Top Walk at Rogla Plateau. Or is it possible that they will prefer a guided tour of the Celje Castle? The choice is yours!
Finishing your holidays in style, you will visit the famous and picturesque Logar Valley, one of the most stunning places in Slovenia. We prepared an ample selection of activities for your children and yourself to do there, from hiking to horseback riding and rafting. Anyhow, the Alpine valley will surely charm you over!
We are of the mind that the parents should be exempted from planning the holidays. The process tends to get relatively stressful, especially trying to comply with your children’s wishes and safety. Therefore, we take that burden off your shoulders and take care of everything — accommodation, support, all rentals, and transfers.
By hearing your wishes and preferences, we can devise an itinerary that will give you unforgettable Slovenia family holidays.
Rediscover yourself by returning to nature and give your children a one-of-a-kind experience on our Farm Stay Holidays in Slovenia.
Family Types
Family with Small Children & Babies
As this might be your first holiday with a small child, we want to make it as hassle-free as possible. As babies tend to get tired fast, the activities will be short, and we will consider nap time when designing your itinerary. You will tell us what you feel comfortable doing, and we will stick to lighter activities. You will also have an option of a car seat and baby carriage per request.
Family with Kids Aged 6-12
We all know how much energy kids between ages 6 and 12 have, and we will ensure they take advantage of it. We prepared an abundance of outdoor activities you can choose from, including visits to adventure parks, water parks, and tourist farms where they can feed farm animals or try horseback riding.
Family with Teenagers
Teenagers are a tricky age group, but we have prepared an abundant selection of activities for them. Each of them will find something to look forward to doing in Slovenia. Take them hiking, canyoning, cycling, or rafting, and let them explore their adventurous spirits!
Big Family or More Families
We adapt our tours to the number of your family members, allowing you to fully enjoy your holidays without any troubles concerning the organization. Even if you are a big family or multiple families traveling together, we will accommodate your group accordingly. We can arrange bus transfers, entire houses or villas for accommodation, and group activities.
Things to know
We calculate the price for the whole family and not per person. Our final package price already includes all the discounted activities and entrance fees for kids that you would otherwise encounter on your family holidays.
We have no limit on the age of your kids, but we make sure to cater to your needs, given how old your child is.
Our family tours are entirely flexible and don’t target one specific age group. We adapt to any family type, designing the family holidays in a way to be entertaining for you and your kids.
They will pay the adult price and won’t receive entry discounts, but we will still adapt your itinerary to make it fun for the whole family.
As much as you want! We pride ourselves on our holidays being completely customizable so that you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. We always consult you on what kind of activities you want to do. These holidays are about you, after all!
We include anything you want, from the accommodation to the transfers and entrance fees, and calculate our final price based on that. Things can also always be added at the last minute if you want. One thing that will cost you extra is cancellation insurance, though.
We keep our options open to offer you the best possible solution. We are in constant contact with multiple local accommodation providers to see if they are available. Some hotels can be limited to family rooms, meaning the kids would have to sleep on fold-out beds. Therefore, we also provide an option of private apartments (we can also organize a breakfast delivery in some areas).
Excluding breakfast, we don’t generally include meals in our holiday packages. We make sure to include lunch breaks and some suggestions on where you can get the best taste of the local cuisine. The restaurants usually offer meals for kids.
If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, you can let us know in advance.
Of course! You decide how you want to spend your holidays. We can even arrange activities just for kids so that parents can take a break.
Your daily itinerary will run at a family-friendly pace that will be adapted to your family type and keep traveling time between locations down to a minimum.
Yes! We even offer an optional nanny or an animator for your kids so that you can go for a quiet romantic dinner or a wine tasting, for example.
